Trae Young 100% for the play-in

Like Brandon Ingram for the Pelicans, Trae Young returned to the wire to play the end of the regular season, and now the “play-in”. Absent from the courts since February 23 after undergoing surgery to tear a ligament in the little finger of his left hand, the new best passer in the history of the Hawks will be in uniform on Wednesday evening against the Bulls.

” I feel much better. I was able to play a lot more in the last match. Even between matches I was able to improve my physical condition. I make sure I can play as many minutes in the regular season as I do for these play-in games,” did he declare.

While Saddiq Bey, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu will be missing, the Hawks leader will therefore be able to play 35 minutes or more on Wednesday. Even if he only has three games in his legs (and two double-doubles in Charlotte and Indiana this Sunday), the objective will be to give the maximum to create a surprise.

Able to adapt to the group

“Like I said before, it’s just something that’s no different than what we’ve been through over the course of the year.” recalls Quin Snyder. “With the guys we have, they have to be ready and play at a high level. We can't complain about things like this. So we will be ready.”

For Trae Young, there is no question of pulling the cover on him again. It will be more about team balance and efficiency in this collective.

” I can adapt. I can play any style of basketball, with anyone”he added. “Of course, you have to play with the cards you are dealt. That's my mentality. I always have the feeling that we can win with the players we have. So I’m going to go out there and try to get there.”

Perhaps this will be his last match with the Hawks since several media are reporting a transfer this summer…
