Cooper Flagg, MVP and high school champion with Montverde

Cooper Flagg has successfully completed his high school education. With Montverde Academy, which has notably seen Joel Embiid, Cade Cunningham and Scottie Barnes pass through in recent years, he won the Chipotle Nationals, the final of the United States high school championship. Montverde got the better of Paul VI (79-63) on Saturday.

And Cooper Flagg impressed again. Very complete, on both sides of the field, the future Duke winger compiled 16 points at 6/9 shooting, including 2/3 from distance, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks in 31 minutes of play.

This success allows Montverde to complete a perfect season with 33 victories in as many matches, for a third title in four years and a revenge after the elimination in the quarter-finals last season.

Cooper Flagg was also elected MVP of these high school finals, surrounded in particular in the first five by his future teammate at Duke and opponent in the final, fullback Darren Harris, or even Cameron Boozer, son of former player Carlos Boozer is expected to be one of the biggest talents of the 2026 vintage. A year before, Cooper Flagg could be chosen first in the 2025 Draft, of which he is the favorite as premature as it is legitimate.
