Julius Randle will not return this season!

In the infirmary since January 27, after dislocating his shoulder against Miami, Julius Randle had been trying for two months to return for the playoffs, with the Knicks currently in fifth place in the Eastern Conference (44 wins – 31 losses). By therefore avoiding passing on the billiards table…

A line so fine that it has now become untenable for the New York strong winger who will not return this season, as well as the announcement Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN.

After obtaining several medical opinions, all of which reported instability in his shoulder, and the possible risks of aggravating the injury if he played again, Julius Randle therefore resolved to do the inevitable.

Author of a season averaging 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists, his absence will obviously weigh heavily in the balance for the Knicks in the playoffs. In this case, his team is 15 wins – 14 losses since he was injured, while New York also does not know if OG Anunoby, injured in the elbow, will be able to play again this season.
