Jets: Tyron Smith strengthens the offensive line

The Jets finally seem to have understood that protecting Aaron Rodgers is essential. According to ESPN, the New York franchise has agreed with Tyron Smith for a one-year contract. The amount could go up to $20 million.

After 13 seasons with the Cowboys, he was released by Dallas. Smith therefore changes his jersey for the first time at 33 years old. He joins a team that inevitably wants to be ambitious since the signing of its quadruple MVP quarterback in 2023.

Five-time All Pro, most recently in 2023, Tyron Smith is still a reference in his left tackle position. His addition to a cataclysmic offensive line for several seasons is a significant reinforcement. A welcome help on the blind side of Rodgers returning this season after a blank campaign in 2023.
