Danielle Hunter joins the Texans for 2 years and 49 million

Back to basics for Danielle Hunter. According to NFL Media, the Texans have agreed to terms with the pass rusher for the next two seasons. The contract amounts to $49 million which will be almost entirely guaranteed. The bonuses could bring the contract to 51 million.

Among the most popular free defenders, he joins the top 10 highest paid players in his position, between Myles Garrett and Von Miller.

Born in Jamaica, Hunter grew up in Texas but hasn't played there since high school. At 29, he returned to the state where he grew up after 9 seasons with the Vikings.

A multiple Pro Bowler, he is coming off a season with 16.5 sacks and has already accumulated 87.5 in his career. His association with the defensive rookie of the season Will Anderson is enough to make you salivate, or terrify if you are the opposing quarterback.
