Last night, the Raptors were without half a dozen players when they faced the Nuggets. A last minute absentee: Chris Boucher. Jakob Poeltl had hand surgery, the Quebecer had a good chance to play at the end of the season but unfortunately, it is not certain that we will see him again this season.
According to Radio-Canada, Boucher suffers from a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee. The player must consult specialists to find out whether he should have surgery or not. It is doubtful that he will play again by the end of the season since he would take the risk of completely tearing his ligament.
Ironically, Boucher was injured while snatching overtime against the Blazers, on a last-second tap. To replace him, Darko Rajakovic does not have many alternatives, and last night, the Serbian had aligned Kelly Olynyk at post 5, supported by Bruce Brown, to face his former teammates.
