Season over for Ben Simmons!

The years follow one another and are the same for the unfortunate Ben Simmons since the Nets have just announced that their season is already over! Once again, it is his back that is playing tricks on him since the medical staff explains that the Australian leader will consult specialists and evaluate possible options to treat this pinched nerve in his lower back, which is causing pain in his leg.

Since the start of his career, Simmons has been prone to problems with herniated discs and pinched nerves, and this season, he will have only played 15 games… Since his arrival at the Nets in February 2022, he has only played only 57 matches out of some 190 possible matches!

A final year of contract at 40 million dollars

This return to the infirmary should force him, once again, to give up a summer with Australia, and we will therefore not see him at the Olympic Games. Which, in any case, remained poorly started after several seasons away from the selection.

On the contractual level, the former Sixers point guard has a final year of contract worth $40 million and he will be a free agent in the summer of 2025.
