Two more injured in the Grizzlies infirmary!

The 2023/24 episode will remain as a cursed exercise in the history of the Grizzlies, going from two full seasons ending in second place in the Western Conference with 56 and 51 victories in the regular season, to a nightmarish year on all points, including 41 defeats in 62 matches.

Beyond the suspension of Ja Morant for the first 25 games of resumption, which deprived Memphis of its leader until mid-December, it was an uninterrupted avalanche of injuries which fell on the group. Ja Morant also drew a line under his season just two weeks after his return, injured in the shoulder.

Ten days ago, these were two major players in the current squad, Marcus Smart And Desmond Bane, who saw their stay in the infirmary extended by three weeks. And since Tuesday, Memphis has made official the package of two new players, Derrick Rose And Ziaire Williams !

The veteran point guard left last week's game against Minnesota with groin and lower back pain. The verdict is clear: Derrick Rose suffers from osteitis pubis and he leaves for three weeks of rehabilitation before being re-evaluated by the medical staff.

As for Ziaire Williams, it was during the game lost in overtime on Saturday against the Blazers that he was injured. Here too, it's a delicate injury since the winger suffers from a strained hip muscle, but also his lower back! For him, it will be four weeks of rehabilitation before making a new point. All of this could quietly bring both players towards a possible premature end to the season, as the Grizzlies regular season ends on Sunday, April 14.

This should again force Taylor Jenkins to show imagination, he who has already used 35 different five majors this season!
