Broncos: Russell Wilson will be cut!

Russell Wilson will no longer be a Denver Broncos player in a few days.

The Colorado franchise announced itself that his quarterback will be cut after March 13. This date marks the official start of the 2024 NFL season.

“We spoke with Russell Wilson today to inform him that he will be cut after the start of the NFL year. On behalf of the Broncos, we thank Russell for his contributions and dedication to the team and the community, while wishing him the best for the rest of his career,” explains the press release signed by manager George Paton and coach Sean Payton.

We are focused on building the strongest possible team for 2024 and beyond. We look forward to improving during the offseason and will have the flexibility to improve with the Draft and Free agency. »

Russell Wilson in Denver, one of the worst transfers in history?

Russell Wilson arrived in Denver two years ago, almost to the day. At the time, Denver had let go of Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, Noah Fant, two 1st round picks (Charles Cross and Devon Whiterspoon), two 2nd round picks (Boye Mafe and Derick Hall) and a fifth round pick (Tyreke Smith). A few months later, Broncos leaders gave Wilson 245 million for a contract extension.
