The Wolves try the TJ Warren bet

Here it is again TJ Warren in the NBA! Now 30 years old, we haven't seen him in a squad since last season, and his stints with the Nets then the Suns, but The Athletic reports that Wolves decided to put him on trial by offering him a ten-day contract.

In his career, the winger averages close to 15 points (at 51% shooting, including 35% from 3-point range) except that he has lost his splendor since 2020, due to multiple injuries and relapses. Last November, the former Pacers player hoped to get another chance in the league.

There are a lot of teams that may need a scorer off the bench. I watch the NBA every day and try to see if I can help competitive teams take a step forward by being present on both ends of the court. I pride myself on wanting to be a two-way player. I know a lot of people doubt my defensive abilities because I score so easily. But I'm proud of both ends of the court. There are definitely a lot of competitive teams that I can contribute to and make an impact on. »

Take full advantage of this new chance

These are therefore the leaders of Minnesota which give TJ Warren the opportunity to show that he still has his place in the NBA. Of course, there is still a way to go before we see him settle in the league again, because a ten-day freelance in no way guarantees a real contract behind and he will have to receive a second consecutive one before potentially being signed until 'at the end of the season by his new team.

A true offensive talent with certain defensive shortcomings, the 14th choice of the 2014 Draft will have the mission of bringing Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaden McDaniels (or even Anthony Edwards) to the 4/3 positions. As Chris Finch is used to relying on a tight rotation, he will have to convince him very quickly.
