In Memphis, Kevin Ollie gets his first victory with the Nets

In free fall, the Nets go to the decimated Grizzlies with the aim of rediscovering the taste of victory. And to offer a first success to their interim coach, Kevin Ollie.

A game plan is emerging, Taylor Jenkins' players being sucked towards the 3-point line by Brooklyn then systematically taken behind their backs by Dennis Schröder and company. The visitors therefore quickly took off and led by 26 points (40-66) at half-time, facing a disappointed Tennessee public.

The rest will not allow Memphis to return to the match, the offensive failure of the fortune leaders being too complicated to compensate. It’s indeed difficult to hope for anything with Jaren Jackson Jr. at 2/12 shooting, Ziaire Williams at 3/11 and GG Jackson at 1/13 coming off the bench…

Brooklyn can therefore finally enjoy a collective victory (86-111), the first of the Ollie era.

WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER

– The premiere of Kevin Ollie. The coach asked that the press conference be short, in order to change quickly. It must be said that he was soaked, his players not having failed to give him a good shower to celebrate his first victory as head coach in the NBA.

– Grizzlies without claws. Lamar Stevens (17 points in 23 minutes) showed interesting things, but the offensive leaders expected by Taylor Jenkins failed. The cumulative 6/36 of the trio Jaren Jackson Jr – Ziaire Williams – GG Jackson hurt Memphis too much to hope for anything from this match.

– Concern for Cam Thomas. The Brooklyn wisp was forced to leave his teammates following a sprain. Initial examinations did not reveal any fracture.
