Juan Soto's two promises

Just yesterday (Sunday) at training camp, New York Yankees newcomer Juan Soto impressed his teammates and fans by catapulting Toronto Blue Jays' Trevor Richards' offering into the field. moon, or almost.

If the main person concerned has not yet revealed any personal objectives or predictions regarding his first (and perhaps only) season in the Big Apple, the latter has promised two things.

The first one? The famous Soto Shuffle (see video above) will be in the spotlight this year.

One hundred percent, I will do my shuffle Everytime. Everyone knows that's part of my game. Whether people like it or don't want it, I'm going to do it.

Soto said he really enjoyed it when his new Yankees teammate, Marcus Stroman, imitated the move after striking out once.

I always tell the guys that I'm going to do what I want and they can do what they want. If you strike me out in a big time, you can do whatever you want. I'm not going to get angry, I'm just going to tip my hat to you. But, when I get you, don't be mad at me because it's going to be loud. When I hit a big home run, I'm going to throw my bat 500 feet in the air.

Here is the second promise of the Dominican: he will not hesitate to make bat flip crowd-pleasers whenever the situation arises.

So this promises to be a spectacular year in the Bronx and with captain Aaron Judge right behind him in the lineup, Soto is likely to flash on the offensive side of the ball.

All that remains is to achieve the ultimate goal, which is to win a first World Series championship since 2009.
