The 2014 MVP therefore needs 301 points to overtake him, and with his 28 points on average this season, it will therefore take at worst 11 matches for the double NBA champion with the Warriors.
Then the step will be too high for this year. Indeed, Wilt Chamberlain, 7th with 31,419 career points, is too far away for a few more months, or even seasons, Kevin Durant having not scored more than 1,700 points in a regular season since his last at Golden State in 2018/ 19.
