Super Bowl LVIII: Chiefs in red, 49ers in white

The Kansas City Chiefs will officially be the home team in the Super Bowl. The AFC is considered at home in even years.

As such, they had first choice on jerseys. Unsurprisingly, it will be red. They announced it on Tuesday.

Red, and lots of patches. A LOT.

The “A” patch which pays tribute to Lamar Hunt is still present on the Chiefs jersey. Above him, we will find the captains badge. On the right shoulder, the “NKH” patch pays tribute to Norma Hunt, who died in 2023. And above it, there will be the Super Bowl LVIII logo.

Visually, this year's Big Game will simply be a replica of the one played in 2020 between Kansas City and San Francisco.

The Chiefs were already considered playing at home, they had already chosen red, and so the 49ers were in white.

Patrick Mahomes and his team won.
