The Dodgers' recipe for resurrecting careers

What do Tyler Anderson, Ryan Brasier, Andrew Heaney, Evan Phillips and Alex Wood have in common? I'll give you a little more time.

They all saw their careers resurrected during their time with the Los Angeles Dodgers after experiencing their share of troubles before arriving in the warm California sun.

Although the Dodgers weren't always lucky, as was the case with Noah Syndergaard, who signed a one-year contract with Los Angeles but pitched worse than ever and was traded to the Los Angeles Guardians. Cleveland before the trade deadline, it must be admitted that the Californian team has a good batting average.

The secret?

Let’s let the organization’s president of baseball operations, Andrew Friedman, explain it to us.

It’s about putting guys in the best position to succeed. When we are looking to acquire a pitcher through the free agent market or a trade, our scouts, analysts and pitching coaches work very well together to identify the levers we want to pull to increase the chances of success. I think the secret sauce for us is how our groups work together.

It is therefore a team effort where collaboration is the key.

Collaboration is important between our very talented group of pitchers and our coaching staff as well as those who play a role in identifying talent. I think communication and collaboration are a big part of the reason for our success.

This recipe is therefore added to the limitless financial resources, as we have seen during the current off-season, which make the Dodgers the men to be killed in 2024.
