Top-10 best right fielders: Ronald Acuna Jr. at the top

After listing the ten best starting pitchers, catchers and shortstops, it was the right fielders' turn to see their top 10 revealed by MLB Network, as part of its annual tradition.

And unsurprisingly, it was Ronald Acuna Jr. of the Atlanta Braves who took the lead in the rankings after his historic season which ended with a unanimous title of National League MVP.

The move was made even easier by the fact that last year's No. 1 right fielder, New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge, moved to center field for this year's roster.

Even if Judge had remained in the right fielder category, Acuna Jr. would certainly have won the prize.

Speaking of position changes and Bronx Bombers outfielders, Juan Soto, who appeared second on the list of left fielders last year, is now third on this year's rankings in right field, just behind Kyle Tucker of the Houston Astros.

The 2023 rookie of the year, Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks, comes in fourth, while for the Toronto Blue Jays, George Springer is ranked seventh.

Experts draw on past player performance, a number of offensive and defensive metrics, advanced statistics and traditional data, as well as analysis from the network's research team.

MLB Network will continue its roundup today (Wednesday), as second base players will be analyzed. It will then be the turn of the first basemen the next day.

We will then have to wait until January 24 to see what happens next.
