Two months later, Jae Crowder will make his return

Seriously affected left adductor and abdominal muscles, Jae Crowder was operated on November 14, 2023. His absence was estimated at eight weeks. We're here, that's why The Athletic announces his return to competition.

The former Boston or Phoenix player will play again Wednesday evening, against the Cavaliers. With the hope of having completely eliminated this physical glitch.

“I had this operation so as not to feel such pain”he confided to The Athletic last week. “Obviously I might feel some discomfort, but I'm not going to feel the pain that I was feeling and playing with. I'm surprised I was able to play, but I was in such a good state of mind and I wanted to start the season well. I was so determined to play regardless. I was taking medication. I was doing everything I had to do not to be left behind, but the moment came and I felt that this operation was necessary. »

Jae Crowder will have to return to a group that is doing quite well in terms of results, with second place in the Eastern Conference (28-12) behind Boston, and even though he had a successful start to the year. He averaged 8.1 points with a nice 51% 3-point success rate.

“Deep down, I know I will be in a better situation than before,” he judged. “I feel like I'm going to play better after this injury. I don't know how long it will take, I have to get back into it. My playing time will be limited when I return, it will be frustrating. »
