TJ Watt forfeits against the Bills

TJ Watt is out and Rudolph will start at quarterback.

There was little doubt about it. Mike Tomlin (HC, Steelers) indicated at a press conference that the Steelers would be without TJ Watt (EDGE) for their playoff match. He suffers from a knee collateral ligament sprain and could return within two weeks.

This is a big blow for Pittsburgh, which is losing its greatest defensive asset as the franchise prepares to face dynamic Josh Allen (QB, Bills). Watt had just had another impressive season with 19 sacks and four caused fumbles.

Furthermore, Tomlin reinforced Mason Rudolph as starting quarterback, favoring the one who had played most recently and with some success: he won the three games he started, throwing for seven touchdowns and no interceptions.

Will Rudolph be able to raise his level of play at the most important moment of the Steelers' season? Will Pittsburgh's defense be able to undermine Josh Allen without TJ Watt? Answer Sunday!
