The brand new G-League rebound record holder comes to the Lakers!

Friday night, Dylan Windler made G-League history. Standing at 2m00, the former Cavaliers winger grabbed 33 rebounds, and it's a new record in the NBA lobby. He also scored 23 points, and despite that, the Westchester Knicks lost 128-121 to the Delaware Blue Coats of Kenneth Lofton Jr. (26 points) and Darius Bazley (21 points).

But Windler has not lost everything since ESPN announces that he is joining the Lakers with a “ two-way contract“. He's not going to solve the Lakers' problems, particularly on outside shooting, but he could bring energy off the bench, within a group that has accumulated defeats and injuries.

According to ESPN, Windler will be able to play in 31 of the Lakers' remaining 46 games.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
