Commanders – Dolphins (15-45): Miami’s attack shines brightly

Washington Commanders (4-9) – Miami Dolphins (9-3): 15-45

Unplayable offensively, the Dolphins quickly broke away and took cover. Led by a surgical Tua Tagovailoa (18/24, 280 yards, 2 TDs) and a lethal Tyreek Hill (5 receptions, 157 yards, 2 TDs), they killed all suspense in a quarter. The receiver already had 152 yards and two touchdowns at the break, and is following in the footsteps of Calvin Johnson's record more than ever. As good at passing as on the ground, the Floridians brought out the full range for a demonstration.

Tyreek Hill gravedigger of Washington's hopes

Best attack in the league, Miami gave the Commanders no chance. From their 3rd game, the tone is set. Tagovailoa finds Hill deep for a 78-yard touchdown. The duo does it again in the 2nd quarter for a new score of 60 yards.
Meanwhile, Andrew Van Ginkel returned an interception for a touchdown. With half the time of possession than their opponents at the break, the Floridians were devilishly efficient and quickly took cover.

Howell too fair, Miami in management

Especially since the Dolphins don't stop there. Explosive in the air, they are no exception on the ground. Particularly when it comes to finishing drives. By scoring two more times before and after the break, the match looked like a walk in the park. Raheem Mostert took the opportunity to score his 14th touchdown of the season while Devon Achane returned to form after his injury.

Too big a difference that Sam Howell's two touchdowns on the ground (12/23, 127 yards, 1 Int) cannot make up for. Well contained by the opposing line, he has all the difficulty in the world finding his targets. Terry McLaurin notably finished with zero points.

Switched to economy mode, Miami even had the luxury of resting its starting quarterback in the 4th quarter by bringing in Mike White to end the game. Achane (17 races, 73 yards, 2 TDs) drives the point home a little further at the end of the game by signing his personal double. Now at 9-3, the Dolphins are racing toward the playoffs as fast as Tyreek Hill is racing toward goal.
