The Clippers hope to have (finally) launched their season

We will have to wait a few matches to verify that this is a turning point in the Clippers' season, whose record remains negative (9v-10l). Last night, the teammates of hero Paul George undoubtedly signed their best victory of the season with this “heist” against the Warriors.

Trailing by 22 points (70-48) at the start of the second half, Tyronn Lue's players waited until the last ten seconds to take the lead, and finally win by a small point (113-112).

“It’s a victory with guts”believes Tyronn Lue. “We needed a victory like this to continue fighting, to hang on, to be competitive…”

For James Harden, it would be good if the Clippers stopped yo-yoing. “Ah yes, we were down by 22 points… We want to stop having ups and downs. We want to be consistent” asks the former MVP.

Same complaint with Kawhi Leonard. “We try to be consistent”explains the All-Star winger. “We are improving, but very slowly. We still need to show consistency to become a better team. Given the circumstances, it feels good to get a big victory.”

“It’s hard to tell four future Hall of Famers to play differently when they’ve been doing it for so long”

The key remains the integration of James Harden, and Tyronn Lue recognizes that it is still complicated. Moreover, he called his new leader back to the bench after only four minutes! It had been seven years since James Harden had experienced this, in a first quarter…

“It’s hard and it will still be complicated” warns the coach. “The guys are playing differently than they are used to. And it's hard to tell four All-Stars and four future Hall of Famers to play differently when they've been doing it for so long. This is the challenge that the staff will have to face throughout the year. »

But it’s a challenge that Tyronn Lue likes. “It’s quite difficult but I’m made for it. I like this team. I love our team, and it's up to me to find the solution, just like the other four players. »
