Falcons: Taylor Heinicke remains in charge

While awaiting a final decision, Desmond Ridder is not leaving the bench.

Atlanta is scheduled to meet Arizona this week, and according to ESPN the Falcons have renewed their confidence in Taylor Heinicke to lead the Georgia offense. It was coach Arthur Smith who announced it at a press conference.

The Falcons will be rested for Week 11, and Smith explained that the club will re-evaluate its position after that deadline. Nothing has been definitively decided regarding a return of Desmond Ridder or his placement on the bench for an extended period.

While awaiting a decision regarding the end of the season, it is therefore the veteran who keeps control of the black and blood attack. In two games this year, Heinicke completed 33 of his 59 passes attempted for 443 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception.
