Packers – Rams (20-3): You miss only one person

Green Bay Packers (3-5) – Los Angeles Rams (3-6): 20-3

You are missing only one being, and everything is depopulated. As great as they are, receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua (3 REC, 32 yards) can’t do anything without a quarterback who throws the ball to them enough.

Brett Rypien (13/28, 119 yards, INT, 2 fumbles) takes place of the injured Matthew Stafford. And the result is not a success. Third consecutive defeat for the Rams, whose season may have ended there.

With only 119 yards and an interception, the understudy did nothing to disturb Sean McVay’s mind. Not helped by a non-existent ground game (68 yards) and 2 turnovers, the Rams did not exist in attack.

The Packers provide the essentials, despite the numerous penalties (8). Jordan Love (20/26, 228 yards, TD) had a good game, and limited errors. This allows him to gain confidence for the second part of the season. The Packers are back in the wild card race.

So many mistakes

For the match to settle, you have to wait for an attacking fault. A fumble by Brett Rypien, covered by De’Vondre Campbell, allows Aaron Jones (20 races, 73 yards, TD) to open the scoring. Then, the 2 teams chained penalties (11), then punts (6). Which makes Matt LaFleur desperate.

3 minutes from the end of the first half, Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp (2 REC, 48 yards) catches his first ball for 34 yards. This only leads to a 52-yard field goal by Havrisik. But that’s already it in a very poor first period in quality. (7-3)

Jordan Love clean

The second half is a series of unexpected events, with fumbles and given points that no one wants. The Packers commit 2 lost fumbles. One by Dontavyion Wicks on his own while falling alone following a reception, and one by Aaron Jones following a run.

However, the Rams do not take advantage of it. After Carlson’s failure just before half-time, Lukas Havrisik also failed. After the Rams kicker, it’s Brett Rypien who will crack with an interception. The Packers took advantage to take off and score 10 more points. With the added bonus of rookie tight end Luke Musgrave’s first career touchdown (3 REC, 51 yards, TD).
