The recipient has solid arguments and more personal motivations…
The question comes up every year for international matches. Are the players happy to leave the United States to play a match? Most of the time, out of politeness, to avoid a sanction, or quite simply because they are really happy to discover a new country, players respond positively. Marquez Valdes-Scantling made another choice:
“It sucks. I mean, obviously it sucks to travel nine hours for a home game when the ArrowHead is just down the street. But, obviously, we have fans all around the world, not just in the United States. So it gives them the opportunity to see some of their favorite players play. I know we have a lot of fans in Germany, so I’m happy to be able to give them this opportunity. »
Marquez Valdes-Scantling doesn’t just criticize. The Chiefs receiver alternates between admissible arguments…
“It’s bad for the players, who are away from their families”
…and more personal reasons for not liking this long journey.
“I have to find a babysitter for my dogs for several days. These are things that need to be taken into account.”
Sunday, at 3:30 p.m., the Chiefs will host the Dolphins in Frankfurt.
