Adolis Garcia’s moving speech

Adolis Garcia’s moving speech – Passion MLB

Published on November 1, 2023 by Sébastien Berrouard

The loss of the services of Adolis Garcia could have shaken the players of the Texas Rangers in the World Series. However, on the contrary, the Texan team was galvanized, giving a correction to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the fourth game of the final yesterday (Tuesday).

The absence of the star player did not appear, the Rangers scoring no less than eleven points, including ten during the first three innings. Marcus Semien and Corey Seager led the charge, posting a combined .400 batting average, with two home runs and seven RBIs.

This performance worthy of the great moments certainly has a link with the moving speech the injured outfielder gave before the game, a speech that catcher Jonah Heim greatly appreciated.

He was our MVP throughout the playoffs. What he said was moving, and it touched our hearts and gave us a little something extra. I think tonight was a good example of us rallying around him.

Same story with Corey Seager.

It took a lot of courage for him to come and speak. He was vulnerable. He wants to be on the field. He told us he loved us.

Garcia’s words surely motivated his replacement as well, he who contributed to his team’s success and impressed his teammate Heim.

Everyone is important. Obviously, you never want to see a player of Garcia’s caliber go out of the lineup and miss the rest of the World Series. But we have to keep playing, and I think Travis Jankowski did a great job replacing him, and the lineup took over.

Let’s hope for the Rangers and their fans that the impact of their star’s speech continues until tonight’s match, a duel which could crown them champions.
