49ers: Brock Purdy under concussion protocol

Brock Purdy could forfeit this weekend’s clash against the Bengals.

Bad news for the 49ers, their 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is placed in concussion protocol. Kyle Shanahan announced it at a press conference this Wednesday. His participation in this weekend’s clash against the Bengals is therefore uncertain.

The 49ers player reportedly suffered a concussion after the end of the game against the Vikings.

Since the start of the season, Brock Purdy has had a magnificent season with the 49ers, despite two very complicated last games, with 3 interceptions. He has a record of 13 touchdowns, and a passing percentage of 68%. In the regular season, his record with him as a starter is 11 wins – 2 losses.

If the 49ers quarterback is not ready for this weekend against the Bengals, Sam Darnold could start the game as the starter. Signed during the offseason, he played only 6 games last season. With the Panthers, he has a record of 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
