The benches empty and the Astros dramatically win game #5

Tonight, we were treated to a real pivotal match between the Rangers and the Astros. After all, with the series tied at 2-2, no one wanted to escape the match.

With reason.

Jordan Montgomery and Justin Verlander were the official throwers… and it was the Rangers gunner who faltered first.

Alex Bregman opened the scoring early in the match.

Nate Lowe then responded with a home run to bring the teams back to square one in the middle of the game. That said, Alex Bregman was pushed to the plate by Jose Abreu to make it 2-1.

But Adolis Garcia took matters into his own hands afterwards with a huge three-point long ball against Justin Verlander.

The rest was really interesting – and I’m not just saying that because the referee’s catch zone was really, really wide.

Aroldis Chapman, in eighth grade, intentionally targeted (we think, at least) Yordan Alvarez, to send him a message. And the Astros remembered it.

Bryan Abreu took direct aim at Adolis Garcia not because he celebrated his homer, but to get revenge for Chapman’s shot earlier in the game.

And the benches emptied. And clearly, Garcia has identified receiver Martin Maldonado as the culprit in all of this.

When things calmed down, Adolis Garcia (why?) and Bryan Abreu were ejected. This put Dusty Baker in a bad mood and he was ejected.

He took a long time before leaving the match, which delayed everything. The manager was really angry about all this.

But what followed surely made him happy.

Joe Espada, who has been looking for a managerial position for ages, pushed the right buttons to ensure that Jose Altuve came to bat with two guys on base. And next…
