Yesterday, Yordan Alvarez was muzzled by Jordan Montgomery. The left-handed Rangers pitcher struck out the Astros power hitter three times in three strikes.
How did he calculate it? Via a curveball that looked like a fastball.
But in reality, everything had to look fast for Alvarez, who is not at 100% capacity right now for the Astros.
Dusty Baker confirmed that his outfielder currently has a virus.
Did he play with a virus yesterday? It’s one thing if he’s able to do it, but it’s another in terms of infecting his teammates. No?
But OK. Baker refuses to say that his player is ill. He simply says that he is better than yesterday.
Yesterday, his stomach and headache forced him to not be at the opening ceremony.
But “because his name is Yordan” and he’s just too strong, he’s going to play again today. He will be the hitter of choice. This is what the manager confirmed.
Yesterday he looked bad against Montgomery. There, against a pitcher who is good, but who throws from the right, and with one more day off, how will Alvarez look?
