Dolphins-Giants (31-16): Tyreek Hill and Devon Achane in great shape

Miami Dolphins (4-1) – New York Giants (1-4): 31-16

In a match that was unbalanced on paper, the Dolphins logically enforced their status. Spectacular, but not yet perfect, the Miami players played against an amorphous New York team. If Tua Tagovailoa (22/30, 308 yards, 2 TDs, 2 INT) made a few mistakes, his teammates next to him did the work. Like the duo Devon Achane (11 races, 151 yards, 1 TD) – Tyreek Hill (8 REC, 181 yards, 1 TD). The defense also had its part in the victory with 7 sacks, including 2 by Zach Sieler, and 14 pressures. Ultimately, the defense only conceded 9 points.

To make matters worse for New York, quarterback Daniel Jones (14/20, 119 yards) did not finish the game. Out with a neck injury after suffering (again) a sack, he could miss the Giants’ next meeting next week. Another important injury to manage for the Giants already deprived of their key players Saquon Barkley and Andrew Thomas.

Devon Achane as a Dolphins in the water

After receiver Jaylen Waddle’s first touchdown of the season (5 REC, 35 yards, 1 TD) in a gloomy first quarter, everything came alive in the 2nd quarter. Despite a fumble from Devon Achane, Miami seems untouchable. 2 games are enough for Devon Achane to bounce back and go to the promised land. That’s already 7 touchdowns for the rookie from Texas A&M.

As they play their football, the Dolphins will give the Giants and Jason Pinnock a gift to get the game going again. For the record, this touchdown is the first scored by the Giants in the first half.

Ironically, he was registered by a defense that was struggling. At halftime, despite Miami dominating in terms of yards, only a touchdown separated the two teams. (17-10)

Giants quarterbacks are falling

In the second half, Miami will push against the New Yorkers who are still struggling in defense. First in the air, with the inevitable Tyreek Hill. Then, on the run, with Raheem Mostert (10 races, 65 yards, 1 TD), in an offensive series stamped “ground games”.

In the meantime, Miami did everything to help New York get back into the game. Unfortunately, New York’s offense is very sad, with only 268 yards gained. Symbol of this low figure, a ground game without solution without their star Saquon Barkley, with only 85 yards gained.

After the exit of Daniel Jones, Tyrod Taylor takes over, and also the broth. To complete the New York ordeal, the replacement quarterback ended the game with an injury.
