Steelers: nothing serious for Kenny Pickett

The Steelers shouldn’t be without Kenny Pickett for too long. Released before the end of the defeat against the Texans, the quarterback was hit in the knee.

According to NFL Media, initial tests taken by Pickett do not indicate damage to the anterior cruciate ligament.

Kenny Pickett’s absence should therefore be brief. Pittsburgh faces the Ravens in Week 5 before having a week off.

A complicated start to the season

If Pickett misses the next game, Mitchell Trubisky will be tasked with taking over. On paper, it won’t be too difficult to do better than the starter in the first four games of the season. Pickett threw 4 touchdowns for 4 interceptions.

Pittsburgh currently has the 25th ranked aerial offense in the NFL.
