The Blue Jays will face Édouard Julien’s Twins in the playoffs

This afternoon, there were 15 duels in major league baseball. Several of them weren’t important, but several were playing for their playoff spot.

In the American League, the Blue Jays, Rangers and Astros were ones to watch. We wanted to see who was going to play where.

What’s at stake? The top of the West division (between Texas and Houston), one place to face the Rays and one to face the Twins.

Because the Texas Rangers lost and because the Astros won, this assured the Astros of the West Division title and second place in the American Division.

So they will have this week off and they will receive the winner of the series wild card which will take place in Minnesota from Tuesday to Wednesday or Thursday.

And because the Blue Jays lost, they are the ones who will head to Minnesota. The Canada club against Édouard Julien? Wow.

The Rangers will therefore face the Rays in Tampa Bay. The winner of the series will also play in Baltimore next Saturday.

It’s a more difficult path.

In the Nationals, the Marlins and the Diamondbacks lost their game. What this means is that the rankings do not change.

The DBacks will play in Milwaukee (in what I imagine will not be the announcers’ most popular series) on Tuesday. The Dodgers are waiting for the series winner.

On the other side, the Phillies will receive a visit from their division rivals, the Miami Marlins. The winner will face another Eastern club, the Braves.

Tomorrow everyone will be off. Otherwise, it starts Tuesday with times to be determined.

  • Great tribute to the veteran.
  • Great season for Kyle Tucker.
  • There were lots of people at mass this season in Toronto.
