Jerome Robinson stays with the Warriors

We have known since July that Jerome Robinson would attend the Warriors camp, andformer Clippers guard learned on Friday that he had won the 3rd and final “ two-way contract ” of the team. He thus joins Lester Quinones and Usman Garuba, and like them, he will go back and forth between the G-League and the NBA.

Already present last season at the Warriors camp, the former first round of the Draft had failed to obtain a “two-way contract”, and he had spent the season in the G-League, with the Santa Cruz Warriors. In 38 games, he averaged 14.6 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds. At 26, Robinson has not stepped on an NBA floor for two and a half years, and a stint with the Wizards.

With this signing, the Warriors have completed their “two-way contract” recruitment, and the challenge of training camp will be to find the 14th contract for the squad. Rudy Gay is the favorite to join the squad, and NBC specifies that the franchise plans to sign its 15th and final player after the start of the season, depending on the results and the needs of Steve Kerr.

Two-way contract : Designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two or three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 matches in the NBA.
