Players of the week 3: De’Von Achane exploded the counters

In week 3, running backs are in the spotlight on offense. Aidan Hutchinson and Terrel Bernard were impactful in defense.

In the NFC, on offense, Kenneth Walker was named player of the week for the first time in his career. Walker led the Seahawks in their victory over the Panthers with 156 total yards. On defense, Aidan Hutchinson is rewarded for his important role in Detroit’s defense. The Lions limited the Falcons to six points. For special teams, Matt Prater became, last Sunday, the third kicker in history to have made more than three kicks of more than 60 yards.

In the AFC, it’s natural to reward a Dolphins player after their offensive fireworks. Rookie De’Von Achane stands out in this attack. He became the second player in NFL history with at least 200 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns in a game. On defense, the player of the week is on the side of the Bills who only allowed three small points, at the end of the game, to the Commanders. Terrel Bernard is the first player since 2007 to have had at least two sacks, an interception and a covered fumble in the same game. Matt Gay gave the Colts the winning kick. He is the special teams player of the week.
