It’s time to take stock of the season. Here is our ranking. This hierarchy is not only based on the number of successes, but also on current form. If two teams are close and haven’t played each other recently, one wonders which one would win if the match were played today. Beating the strongest is not going to propel you to the top in the blink of an eye. Losing to one of the dunces won’t plunge you into the abyss either. One can win and tumble, bow and climb.
This is the merciless law of Power Ranking…
1. San Francisco 49ers (3-0)
A victory on Thursday and a weekend off in front of the TV, the 49ers are living the good life right now.
Week 4: reception of the Cardinals.
2. Miami Dolphins (3-0) +3
70 points and 726 yards for the Dolphins… No, it’s not from the NCAA, but from the NFL.
Week 4: trip to the Bills.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)
Jalen Hurts has won 20 of his last 21 regular season games.
Week 4: reception of Commanders.
4. Kansas City Chiefs (2-1)
The Chiefs struggled against the Bears in great difficulty. Luckily Taylor Swift was there, otherwise we wouldn’t have known what to say.
Week 4: trip to the Jets.
5. Buffalo Bills (2-1) +1
When Sean McDermott’s men win the battle of the trenches, they hardly need to exert their talent.
Week 4: Dolphins reception.
6. Dallas Cowboys (2-1) -4
This is perhaps the biggest surprise of the week. And at the same time, it’s the Cowboys…
Week 4: Patriots reception.
7. Baltimore Ravens (2-1)
The Ravens were surprised, we shouldn’t let that happen too often.
Week 4: trip to the Browns.
8. Seattle Seahawks (2-1) +1
When Kenneth Walker goes, the attack takes on another dimension in Seattle.
Week 4: trip to the Giants.
9. Detroit Lions (2-1) +1
Much criticized, this vintage of rookies looks more and more like a vintage for Detroit.
Week 4: trip to the Packers.
10. Cleveland Browns (2-1) +4
Kevin Stefanski’s defense is finally coming of age.
Week 4: Ravens reception.
11. Cincinnati Bengals (1-2) +1
There is no longer a fire in Cincinnati, because the defense played the firefighters on duty. Be careful though, the embers are still hot.
Week 4: trip to the Titans.
12. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2) -4
The Jaguars gave up 13 points on special teams. It’s too much when Trevor Lawrence isn’t having a good day.
Week 4: reception of the Falcons.
13. Green Bay Packers (2-1) +2
The pressure on the New Orleans offensive line paid off and it was Gary who had the last laugh.
Week 4: reception of the Lions.
14. New Orleans Saints (2-1) -3
Without Derek Carr’s injury, there’s a good chance the Saints would still be undefeated.
Week 4: reception of the Buccaneers.
15. Los Angeles Chargers (1-2) +2
Brandon Staley did not go far from the penalty area with his decision on this 4th & 1 in his own end zone.
Week 4: reception of the Raiders.
16. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) +2
TJ Watt still electrifies this defense.
Week 4: trip to the Texans.
17. Atlanta Falcons (2-1) -4
Without the key to the ground, no one carries this attack in Atlanta.
Week 4: trip to the Jaguars.
18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) -2
Facing the conference champions, the step was too high for the Buccaneers.
Week 4: trip to the Saints.
19. New England Patriots (1-2) +6
The Patriots haven’t lost to the Jets since December 2015.
Week 4: trip to the Cowboys.
20. Washington Commanders (2-1)
Washington lost the line to the Bills.
Week 4: trip to the Eagles.
21. New York Jets (1-2) -2
Sam Darnold saw ghosts against the Patriots, Zach Wilson saw nothing at all. It’s not much better.
Week 4: reception of the Chiefs.
22. New York Giants (1-2)
The Giants are missing too many tackles and are unable to cause turnovers. Difficult to win matches in these conditions.
Week 4: Seahawks reception.
23. Minnesota Vikings (0-3)
The Vikings have the best 0-3 team in the league…
Week 4: trip to the Panthers.
24. Indianapolis Colts (2-1) +3
There are no mountains too high, no rivers too wide and even fewer field goals too far for Matt Gay.
Week 4: Rams reception.
25. Los Angeles Rams (1-2) -1
The Rams are starting to feel the limits of Cooper Kupp’s absence.
Week 4: trip to the Colts.
26. Tennessee Titans (1-2) -5
King Henry is losing his crown, his kingdom and a lot of matches.
Week 4: reception of the Bengals.
27. Houston Texans (1-2) +2
This time it’s clear, the Texans are not here to tank this season. Except with Dell.
Week 4: Steelers reception.
28. Las Vegas Raiders (1-2) -2
No matter how much we turn the situation around, Josh McDaniels is indefensible on this one.
Week 4: trip to the Chargers.
29. Arizona Cardinals (1-2) +3
We had feared a casting error, but for the moment Gannon is far from being a liability.
Week 4: trip to the 49ers.
30. Carolina Panthers (0-3)
The Panthers are too penalized for false starts. Fortunately for them, they are not banking on a sprint, but rather on a marathon version of construction.
Week 4: reception of the Vikings.
31. Denver Broncos (0-3) -3
Everything went way too fast for the Broncos in this game.
Week 4: trip to the Bears.
32. Chicago Bears (0-3) -1
They are undoubtedly the worst team in the league right now.
