Cleveland calls its leaders to order after the Koby Altman affair

After briefly reacting following the arrest of its GM Koby Altman in a drunken state, the Cleveland franchise published a new press release to call its leaders to order. This follows the leak of the video of his arrest, recorded by Cleveland police officers on patrol.

If we do not yet know what sanction will be imposed on the team GM after this misconduct, the Cavs now expect exemplary behavior from their highest representatives.

“We demand impeccable conduct from our team members and expect leaders at all levels of our organization to represent the Cavaliers with integrity, professionalism and accountability.”, is it written. “We will continue to closely monitor the facts and circumstances of this matter and await the resolution of the legal proceedings.”

The videos confirmed police statements, which emphasized that Koby Altman, in office since 2017, had been cooperative and respectful. We also see him say calmly that he felt he was in control of the situation when he overtook and that he had not exceeded the authorized speed limit.

It was undoubtedly the refusal to submit to the alcohol test which led to his placement in police custody, while the Cleveland GM explained to the police that he was exhausted after his return from a trip abroad.

Last January, it was extended until 2028, particularly in view of the team’s good progress.
