Will the Clippers imitate Netflix for their annual subscription?

If nothing disrupts the end of the work, the Clippers’ new venue, the “Intuit Dome”, should open its doors for the start of the 2024/25 season. The objective will then obviously be to fill this new setting as much as possible.

Because the Clippers don’t always play sold out at home. Last season, with an average of 17,574 spectators, the Crypto.com Arena was only 92.2% full. How to do better?

“We are working on a new annual subscription”confides Steve Ballmer in Paul George’s podcast. “Because we buy a subscription for the season and then we sell it if we don’t use it. And I don’t like it. That’s why we have fans from other teams who come to the gym. I’m thinking of an annual subscription to Netflix, which we can share with three or four people, and which we cannot sell. »

The owner of the franchise, even if he did not give any additional details on this subscription formula, mentioned several times, in front of the Los Angeles rear/winger, that he was working at affordable prices to fill the maximum the “Intuit Dome” of Clippers fans… and avoid fans of other teams.
