On Wednesday, the NBA steering committee will validate, or not, the proposals made by the NBA on the management of “load management”. We recall the main points: ban on resting two stars in the same match; ban on resting a star in a televised match on the national network.
The penalties will be severe (up to $1.250 million from the 3rd offense), and the NBA defined the term “star”. This is a player who has been an All-Star or selected to an All-NBA Team in the last three years. On paper, the Warriors and the Wolves, with four “stars”, will be the most affected by this rule. And more particularly Golden State since Stephen Curry’s teammates are among the most broadcast teams on the national network.
Here is the list:
- Atlanta: Trae Young, Dejounte Murray
- Brooklyn: Ben Simmons
- Boston: Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown
