A patch on the jersey to celebrate the rookies’ first NFL game

Playing his first NFL game is probably a memorable memory. The rookies will now have a special memory to treasure.

On Wednesday, the NFL announced the launch of NFL PREM1ERE, a patch that will be placed on the jersey of players participating in their first NFL game. And only the first game!

All rookies will be entitled to this little attention. It will therefore be this Thursday for those of the Chiefs and Lions. Sunday for others. It could also be in the middle of the season if the player in question does not participate in his first meeting until later.

These jerseys will then be offered to the players.

“An NFL rookie’s first game marks an unforgettable moment in their career and we are pleased to preserve and honor that moment,” said Troy Vincent, NFL vice president, in a league statement.

Rashee Rice could notably show himself with this Chiefs side patch on Thursday. Lions Sam LaPorta, Jahmyr Gibbs and Jack Campbell should also give exposure to this initiative.
