Danny Green reunites with Nick Nurse at the Sixers

Still no retirement Danny Green since ESPN announces that he has committed to a season with the Sixers. It’s a comeback for him since he had played for the Sixers for two years, before being transferred last summer to the Grizzlies after his double ligament rupture in a knee.

He will also find Nick Nurse there, whom he knew well at the Raptors since they won a title together. It was in 2019. Now 36 years old, Green is coming out of a turbulent season since after his recovery, he had been transferred to the Rockets, then cut. Before finally bouncing back to the Cavaliers, where he started his career.

A month ago, he explained that he was not ready to retire. “Maybe some people think I’m done. I haven’t finished playing. I’m not going to completely switch over to the media side for a few years. I want to play as long as possible because I don’t want to regret anything, telling myself that I still had two or three years left to play. And it doesn’t matter where. I just want to play basketball. It’s not about the money for me at this point. It’s about being able to play for as long as possible and hopefully my kids will be able to see me play a bit.”
