Jasson Dominguez is on fire and the Yankees sweep the Astros

Whether in the regular season or in the playoffs, the New York Yankees are having all sorts of difficulties against the Houston Astros.

The Bombardiers, however, remedied the situation in the famous Sunday night game yesterday, winning convincingly by a score of 6-1 and thus passing a sweep to the representatives of Texas, a first since 2013.

Just three games into his big-league career, youngster Jasson Dominguez proved his Martian moniker was right up his alley, hitting a two-run homer in the sixth inning, tying the game.

It was the second home run in three games for the 20-year-old after his long two-run off Justin Verlander on his first major league batting Friday.

He becomes the youngest player in franchise history to hit two homers in his first three games and only the fourth Yankees hitter to do so, the last in line being none other than captain Aaron Judge.

Speaking of youth, the emergence of all these youngsters in the Bronx certainly makes the staff happy as well as the New York fans. But it is also the misfortune of some players who see their playing time reduced and their future in the striped pajamas crumble to dust.

And this is the case of receiver Kyle Higashioka. For the moment, the main interested party lives in the present moment, even if he knows very well that the young Austin Wells and the veteran Jose Trevino will most likely form the receiving battery next year.

I just go with the flow. Whatever happens, will happen. I just live in the present moment as much as I can. Things are out of my control, I try not to worry.

The Yankees will also have other heartbreaking decisions to make due to the arrival of all these rookies and it could have a direct impact on some other veterans.

But we will see that in time as in time. It is rather the moment to appreciate the dynamic youth at work.
