Head to the Kings for JaVale McGee

Discarded by Dallas two days earlier, JaVale McGee It didn’t take long to rebound as Shams Charania revealed his imminent arrival in Sacramento yesterday. After a very complicated season at the Mavericks, the 35-year-old pivot will experience his 9th career NBA franchise, again with a great challenge to take up, accompany this team, third in the last regular season in the West, as high as possible. .

The pivot has signed a one-year contract, probably at least veteran, to join Mike Brown, who knows him very well since the technician was at the Warriors when JaVale McGee won two titles there (2017, 2018).

JaVale McGee will however have to fight to find his place since there will also be Alex Len and Nerlens Noel to claim the role of main “back-up” for Domantas Sabonis in position 5. But the triple NBA champion will also bring through his experience a a group that is still a bit lacking.

It is undoubtedly Neemias Queta, whose contract was not guaranteed, who will bear the brunt of this arrival.

For the record, Javale McGee’s mother, Pamela, also played a WNBA season in Sacramento in 1997.
