Impressive images of Dodger Stadium surrounded by floods

As Tropical Storm Hilary raged through the heart of California yesterday (Sunday), awe-inspiring images of Dodger Stadium popped up and it went around the world.

On these, you can see the stadium surrounded by a pool of water, the parking lot being completely flooded.

It did not take less for some to question the veracity of these images, saying that it was only an illusion of wet concrete and that it happens relatively often.

Still, the National Weather Service (NWS) had issued a flash flood warning for the region and admitted that in the southwestern states, potentially historic rainfall amounts could cause life-threatening and catastrophic flooding, including including landslides.

It is for this reason that three matches that were scheduled for Sunday were brought forward as part of double programs on Saturday. This was the case for the meetings which were to take place in the two homes in Los Angeles and in that of San Diego.

It remains to be seen what happens next since the Angels must host the Cincinnati Reds tonight, while the Padres must do the same with the Miami Marlins.

For their part, the Dodgers will begin a three-game series against the Guardians in Cleveland on Tuesday.

A file to follow closely, the safety of the residents always remaining the priority.
