Sad epilogue for Jimmy Graham’s return to New Orleans. Friday evening, the tight end was arrested in California because the police suspected him of being under the influence of drugs.
According to the Saints’ doctor, the player was in fact the victim of an epileptic seizure, which would have disoriented him. In a press releasethe franchise explains that Graham was taken to the hospital following his arrest and spent the night there.
Graham had practiced normally on Friday. He even spoke to the press after the session.
Sunday, he was obviously not on the field for the preseason game against the Chargers.
” He is healthy. He will have to do other tests. He is a little shaken, but overall he is fine, ”reassured coach Dennis Allen at a press conference on the sidelines of the meeting.
Now 36, Jimmy Graham did not play last season. He signed with the Saints in late July.
The franchise selected him in the third round in 2010. He then spent five great seasons in New Orleans, before leaving for Seattle, Green Bay and Chicago.
