Without forcing, Team USA makes short work of Greece

Fourth preparation match and fourth convincing victory for Team USAwho easily dominated a very pale team of Greece (108-86) in Abu Dhabi. Without Giannis Antetokounmpo or Kostas Sloukas and Tyler Dorsey, the formation of Dimitris Itoudis is sorely lacking in resources in attack, and faced with the American formation which on the contrary is overflowing with offensive options, the march was of course much too high for the Greeks.

However, the Americans were not particularly impressive, at least much less than against Spain. A Team USA a little more dilettante, but no less untouchable in the end, thanks to a collective ceiling far too high for Greece to keep up, like this differential in assists (26 against 13). About the pass, we will remember the pretty gestures of Tyrese Haliburton, the most creative of the Americans since the start of the preparation.

No less than six American players finished at 10 points and more, and before the last quarter, only Jalen Brunson had not yet unlocked his counter. It will be done with a superb lay-up in the middle of the Greek arms. Leader of the US attack, Anthony Edwards finished as the game’s top scorer with 21 points. On the Greek side, thomas walkup And Georgios Papagiannis were convincing.

Next and last friendly outing for Team USA: Sunday, with a nice poster against Germany, as a second real test (after Spain) before the start of the World Cup next weekend.
