Dalvin Cook joins the Jets well

Dalvin Cook had met the Jets at the end of June. A month and a half later, they finally reached an agreement.

NFL Media announces that the runner has agreed to a one-year, $8.6 million contract to join the green franchise.

Enough to raise the pressure a little more around these 2023 Jets. Cook is a 28-year-old quadruple Pro Bowler. He comes out of four consecutive seasons with at least 1,100 yards on the ground.

Last season, with the Vikings, he carried the ball 264 times for a total of 1,173 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also caught 39 passes for 295 yards and 2 additional passes in the end zone. He will therefore be a weapon of choice for Aaron Rodgers and this attack.

Dalvin Cook – Breece Hall, a dream duo for the Jets?

Last season, the Jets saw Breece Hall blast opposing defenses with 80 carries for 463 yards, or 5.8 yards per attempt! The rookie had also caught 19 passes for 218 yards, all in just seven games.

Unfortunately, he had torn the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee at the end of October. The arrival of Cook gives him time to come back fully before considering a comeback.

And if Hall returns to his best this season, then New York will benefit from a pretty exceptional running duo.
