The timing is curious but the NBA simply waited for the criminal investigation to be completed to crack down. In a communicated, the league announces that it has sanctioned Anthony Edwards with a fine of 50,000 dollars for a bad gesture which dates from April 25. At the end of Game 5, synonymous with elimination for the Wolves against the Nuggets, the back of Minnesota had projected a chair of anger which would have caused minor injuries to two employees of the Ball Arena.

At the time, Edwards had defended himself from any intentional gesture when the two victims had filed a complaint, and that he faced a possible prison sentence for a “3rd degree assault”. ” As the video of the incident confirms, Anthony [Edwards] didn’t swing a chair at anyone and of course he had no intention of hurting anyone. He intends to vigorously defend himself against these baseless accusations. “Reacted his agent at the time of the facts.

The NBA still felt that this gesture was dangerous, and he is off for a $50,000 fine.
