Which teams have the biggest recruitment budget for “free agency”?

This Friday, the “free agency” opens its doors in the NBA and players free of any contract will thus be able to sign with their new teams. All franchises do not start this arms race with the same means. Some have more dollars, and therefore more arguments, to offer than others.

This year, two Texas teams will have the heaviest envelope to strengthen themselves, according to the site spotrac : Houston is well ahead with nearly $60 million to spend. A sum that the Rockets could devote to Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks. Behind, San Antonio will have 37.4 million, and it will therefore be necessary to monitor their recruitment to surround Victor Wembanyama. Why not Kyle Kuzma…

Then follow Indiana and Detroit, with respectively 32.1 and 27.8 million in their purse. As Jordan Clarkson has activated the last year of his contract, Utah will only have 25 million left to recruit.

Finally, Orlando will have 17.7 million and Oklahoma City 16.6.

  1. Houston Rockets – 59.7 million
  2. San Antonio Spurs – 37.4 million
  3. Indiana Pacers – 32.1 million
  4. Detroit Pistons – 27.8 million
  5. Utah Jazz – 25 million
  6. Orlando Magic – 17.7 million
  7. Oklahoma City Thunder – 16.6 million
