He was to be Luka Doncic’s counterpart on the inside, the one who would bring this balance to the Mavericks and help the Texas franchise take a step forward. For his part, Christian Wood will therefore have to find a new base to bounce back in the NBA, even if his second part of the season with Dallas was complicated and his defensive limits very real.
