The New Jersey Devils and forward Jesper Bratt have agreed to terms on an eight-year contract extension, earning him $63 million, according to our colleague Pierre LeBrun.
Bratt will pocket an average salary of $7.87 million per year.
The 24-year-old forward is coming off the best season of his career in terms of points, with 32 goals and 73 points in 82 games.
He added six points in 12 playoff games as the Devils lost in five games to the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round.
Bratt signed a one-year deal last August, worth $5.45 million.
Selected at 162e ranked by the Devils in the 2016 draft, the Swede played his entire career in New Jersey, where he recorded 276 points in 389 games.
