Carlos Correa was booed by his Minnesota fans (and he accepts it)

If there’s anything Carlos Correa can do, it’s accept criticism.

After all, as a star player and as a cheat in Houston, he’s been booed many times in his life. It’s part of the game – and he deserves that for the scandal.

Because no, people haven’t forgotten. This weekend, when the Blue Jays were in Pittsburgh, the only opposing player who was booed was George Springer.

But finally. All that to say that it went to another level in the case of Correa since his own supporters in Minnesota booed him yesterday.

In five at bats, he never made it to base and got two Ks. He left six guys on the run and dropped his average to .185.

That’s nothing to justify his $200 million contract.

Even though advanced stats suggest his comeback is near, it hasn’t happened yet and the fans, who are known to be nice in Minnesota, have had enough.

But Correa, who has always taken criticism well, didn’t take it the wrong way.

I too would boo myself.

Despite a 6-1 loss to the Padres at home, the Twins are still first in their division with a 19-19 record. They are two games ahead of the Guardians.

But they are still 1/2 game behind the Yankees, who are in last place in the East. You read correctly.

Obviously, the season is still young, but the sample is starting to be more and more representative. It’s crazy to see the rankings right now.

There is still time to change that.

  • Shohei Ohtani now has more strikeouts (as a pitcher) than Babe Ruth.
  • Significant defeat for the Blue Jays in Philly.
  • Max Scherzer needs to give more.
